PLease, be prepared to see LOADS of posts about interior designs and Ikea as I am visually dreaming about having own flat, own kitchen, bathroom, hallway, bedroom and a studio/home office room. AAAAh
It took us aaaages, like since mid september, but it’s finally going into it’s final stage. I never thought, I would enjoy laying it so much =] especially the last piece =P
Need advice with laying laminate floor? here I am LOL
tip 1) please start from the left - we didn’t and ended up having to lift a whole line of already laid floor thinking that that is right. If you lay it from the left, you literally just LAY it, not twist, push and lift.
Tip 2) for weird corners etc, get a piece of paper and fold it around the edges to get the template of what you need to cut out (only works if you are trying to fit into a corner see the third picture on the top picture)
Tip 3) Do leave the cm gap between the wall and the floor. It’s good to keep a piece of trimming close by, so you can test if its gonna cover the gap
Tip 4) Keep an eye on this blog for tips about laying the trimming, as we will be fixing that soon, and I’ll shall share my wisdom =P
I love this. Some will definitely say that concrete for interiors is far too cold, but I somehow really like it for interiors.
Right now I’d love to keep the new concrete floor we had done in the living room, even though it is made to be able to lay laminate floor on =P
